Warum teilnehmen?

Das Baltic Sea Forum ist seit 2012 ein fester Bestandteil des akademischen Kalenders und hat sich zu einer wichtigen Plattform für den Wissens- und Erfahrungsaustausch für und in der Ostseeregion entwickelt. Nachdem in den vergangenen Jahren einzelne Länder der Ostseeregion im Fokus standen, richtet sich der Blick 2026 auf die Zukunft Europas und die Frage, welchen Beitrag junge Menschen zu ihrer Gestaltung leisten können. 

Organisiert von BMS-Studierenden mit Unterstützung der Fakultät für Wirtschaft der Hochschule Stralsund, verbindet das Forum wissenschaftliche Perspektiven, gesellschaftlichen Dialog und praxisnahe Impulse. Im Mittelpunkt stehen aktuelle Herausforderungen, neue Ideen für ein gemeinsames Europa sowie die Frage, wie aus Visionen konkrete Schritte und Projekte entstehen können.

Warum Europas Zukunft und die Rolle der Jugend?

Europa steht vor tiefgreifenden gesellschaftlichen, wirtschaftlichen und politischen Veränderungen. Klimawandel, Digitalisierung, demografischer Wandel, internationale Zusammenarbeit und die Stärkung demokratischer Werte erfordern neue Ideen und gemeinsames Handeln. 

Junge Menschen bringen dabei wichtige Perspektiven, Kreativität und den Wunsch mit, Verantwortung für die Zukunft zu übernehmen. Das Baltic Sea Forum schafft Raum für diesen Austausch und zeigt, wie Bildung, internationale Zusammenarbeit und persönliches Engagement dazu beitragen können, aus Ideen konkrete Impulse für ein offenes, vernetztes und zukunftsfähiges Europa zu entwickeln.

Für wen ist das Baltic Sea Forum?

Das Baltic Sea Forum richtet sich an Studierende, Professor*innen und Mitarbeitende der Hochschule Stralsund sowie an alle Interessierten, die sich mit europäischen Zukunftsfragen, internationaler Zusammenarbeit und gesellschaftlichem Wandel auseinandersetzen möchten.

Why participate?

Since 2012, the Baltic Sea Forum has been an integral part of the academic calendar and has established itself as an important platform for knowledge sharing and the exchange of ideas and experiences within the Baltic Sea region. While previous editions focused on individual countries of the region, the 2026 forum turns its attention to the future of Europe and the question of how young people can contribute to shaping it.

Organised by BMS students with the support of the Faculty of Business Studies at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, the forum brings together academic perspectives, societal dialogue, and practical insights. It focuses on current challenges, new ideas for a shared European future, and explores how visions can be transformed into concrete actions and projects.

Why Europe's future and the role of young people?

Europe is facing profound social, economic, and political transformations. Climate change, digitalisation, demographic shifts, international cooperation, and the strengthening of democratic values all require fresh ideas and collective action. Young people play a vital role in this process by contributing new perspectives, creativity, and a strong commitment to taking responsibility for the future.

The Baltic Sea Forum provides a platform for this exchange and demonstrates how education, international cooperation, and personal engagement can help turn ideas into meaningful contributions towards an open, connected, and sustainable Europe.
