Our short‑term mobility in Denmark was an intense and unforgettable experience that combined academic learning, intercultural exchange, and a surprising amount of fun. We spent our time in Slagelse at Zealand Academy together with around fifty participants from Thailand, Mexico, Spain, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Germany. We all stayed together in a large hotel, sharing rooms in groups of three. The hotel quickly became more than just accommodation — it turned into a lively meeting point.
The academic program was just as dynamic. We visited different Zealand Academy campuses and attended lectures on biodiversity and design thinking. Our main assignment was to choose a location in Slagelse and redesign it to make it greener, more biodiverse, and more attractive for the local community. This project allowed us to apply theoretical concepts from intercultural management directly to our teamwork, which became especially valuable given the diversity of our group.
A highlight of the mobility was our field trip to Copenhagen, where we spent one night exploring the city. Beyond the classroom sessions, the true learning happened in the connections we built. Living, studying, and socializing together created an environment where we formed incredibly close bonds in a very short time. We learned from each other’s cultures, perspectives, and working styles, and these interactions enriched the academic content in ways no lecture alone could achieve.
Overall, the mobility was both a major learning opportunity and a memorable social experience — a mix of education, cultural exchange, and shared moments that made the entire stay feel like one big adventure.
