Baltic Sea H2 Conference & 32nd REGWA Symposium

from 05. - 07. November 2025

Welcome to the symposium!

Welcome to the hy:conf conference and REGWA symposium!

Stralsund University of Applied Sciences invites you to the the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Conference hosted by the REGWA Symposium "Renewable Energies and Hydrogen Technologies". The event will take place from 5th to 7th November 2025

Both conferences will take place in parallel and aim to further encourage exchange on hydrogen topics in the Baltic Sea region.

Furthermore, we are continuing the German-Polish Hydrogen Conference, which was successfully launched last year, in cooperation with the Cross-Border Information and Advisory Network (IBN).

These initiatives offer new opportunities for international exchange on current developments in science, technology and practice in the field of hydrogen and renewable energies.

The conference is aimed at researchers in the field of renewable energies, companies in the energy industry, municipal representatives, students and interested stakeholders who who wish to share and discuss the current state of science, technology and practical applications.

Dodatkowo kontynuujemy rozpoczętą z sukcesem w ubiegłym roku Polsko-Niemiecką Konferencję Wodorową we współpracy z polsko-niemiecką Siecią Informacyjno-Doradczą (IBN).

Inicjatywy te oferują nowe możliwości międzynarodowej dyskusji na temat aktualnego rozwoju w nauce, technice i praktyce w odniesieniu do wodoru i energii odnawialnych.

Prologue

Prologue

The world is in the middle of a profound transformation: the energy transition is no longer a purely national project, but a global challenge with enormous implications. While the need to move away from fossil fuels is undisputed in view of the climate crisis, politics, business, science and society are faced with complex questions: How can energy systems be restructured quickly and in a socially acceptable way? What regulatory framework is required to promote innovation and facilitate investment? And how can technological developments, for example in the field of the hydrogen economy, be sustainably integrated into existing structures?

Europe has a particular responsibility here - both as an industrialised nations with high energy requirements and as a technological pioneer in the field of renewable energies. At the same time, geopolitical tensions, volatile energy markets and the sluggish implementation of key reforms are putting the energy transition to the test both here in Germany and worldwide.

The 32nd REGWA Energy Symposium is therefore once again addressing the most pressing issues about the future of our energy supply - with a special focus on renewable energies and hydrogen technology as key elements of a decarbonised energy system. Current developments, technological innovations, regulatory decisions and social perspectives will take centre stage.

The REGWA Symposium will once again provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue between science, business and civil society.

We look forward to exciting discussions and new impulses for shaping a climate-neutral future.
