13.03.2023 - for students in the Master's program and guest students

Welcome to HOST - University of Applied Sciences Stralsund

As part of "ARRIVE & ORIENTATE" we will welcome the first-year students of all Master's programs and guest students on Monday, March 13, 2023 with university department presentations and lectures for orientation on campus.

Special information and introductory events to the Master's programs will also be held in the faculties on this day.

You will receive detailed information on the schedule by mail in mid-February.

The program starts on 13.03.2023 with the welcome by the Rectorate, the General Student Committee and the Student Parliament. The events will be organized in groups in German and English. You will receive the schedules by mail.

On this day we will present the university in an overview with administrative areas, student committees and university associations. You will get our traditional welcome bag with a variety of information and study materials.

The university library will also open its doors to those interested for a guided tour. In the afternoon, the German intensive course concludes with country presentations by our new international students.

In order to get to know the campus better over the next few days, the student associations and committees are planning a colorful recreational program.

Country presentations:

The conclusion of the German Intensive Course during the International Welcome Week. Incoming international students attended a one-week German course. As a final event as well as a German exam, they present their countries in a 10-minute presentation to the course participants and all interested guests. As representatives of their home countries, they will give the audience a unique insight into culture, history, language and tourist highlights. Come and experience the diversity that is our university. You might even learn a few words in a new language, sing along when they sing or dance when they dance.

HOST-cards are issued to our international students during International Welcome Week.

You will get our traditional Ersti welcome bag on Monday, 13.03.23 following the kick-off event "University departments introduce themselves", which is organized in groups in German and English.

If you are not on campus that day, you are welcome to pick up your bag after you arrive. Please write us a message to ankommen@hochschule-stralsund.de.
