The International Office is basically HOST's "Foreign Office". This is where everything comes together so that we are able to offer you the best international opportunities.
Main tasks:
- Development and implementation of an Internationalization Strategy
- Development and maintenance of university partnerships
- Development and maintenance of national and international networks
- Governance of student mobility and related language, preparation and supervision offers
- University coordination of Erasmus+ and other multi-university externally funded projects (DAAD, Ministry for Education etc.), applications and governance of central programmes and projects
- Service for schools: support/advice e.g. for summer schools, international degree courses, double degrees, external funding applications
- Lecturer and staff mobility
- Management of the Internationalisation Commission
- Public relations

INCOMING COORDINATOR
The Incoming Coordinator at the International Office is the first point of contact for exchange students at HOST. She provides information, advice and support before, during and after your study period at our university. International students also receive assistance with matters relating to finding accommodation, scholarships, the Immigration Office and general social integration in Stralsund.
If you have any questions about full-time study at HOST, please contact the Student Advisory Service.
Office hours:
The Incoming Office is currently open on Tuesdays between 1.00 pm and 2.30 pm and on Wednesdays between 10.00 am and 12.00 pm on site, as well as online on Thursdays (by appointment only) via Microsoft Teams.
Further appointments and, in urgent cases, on-site advice are available by arrangement.

OUTGOING COORDINATOR
The Outgoing Coordinator at the International Office helps students at HOST to plan and organize periods of stay abroad and advises them about financing opportunities. She holds regular information events. Our tip: arrange for an individual first consultation about 1.5 years prior to your planned departure.

The Outgoing Office is currently available by phone on Monday between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and online (with appointment) via gotomeeting on Wednesday between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. or in the office on Tuesday between 13:00 p.m and 14:30 p.m. and on Thursday between 11:00 p.m. and 13:00 p.m.

ACCOUNTANT
The accountant supports the head of international office as well as the outgoing and incoming coordinators. Especially in the fields of financing and documentation of the programs that are managed by the international office.
COORDINATOR FOR INTERNATIONALIZATION AND PARTNERSHIPS, LOCAL COORDINATOR EUNICOAST
The Coordinator for Internationalization and International Marketing is responsible for maintaining and developing international university partnerships as well as national and international networks. She supports the faculties in international matters such as summer schools and international degree programs. Additionally, the digitalization of cooperation agreements within the framework of Erasmus Without Papers (EWP) falls within her area of responsibility.
The EUNICoast Local Coordinators represent their university in the Alliance's Steering Committee and serve as the central point of contact for all EUNICoast activities at their institution. They coordinate the collaboration between their own university and the various work areas of the Alliance, communicate important developments to the relevant departments within the institution, and ensure that the Alliance's strategic goals are implemented at the local level. As the interface between their university and the Alliance governance, they contribute to HOST's active participation in shaping and advancing European higher education cooperation.

SUPPORT EDUCATION/RESEARCH EUNICOAST
The EUNICoast Education/Research Support Unit assists HOST teaching staff and researchers in their involvement in the Education and Research work packages of the EUNICoast Alliance. These work packages develop joint educational formats between partner universities – ranging from short-term programmes to joint degree programmes –, establish collaborative research initiatives, and work on further developing the framework conditions for research.

LOCAL COORDINATOR EUNICOAST
The EUNICoast Local Coordinators represent their institution on the Alliance’s Steering Committee and serve as the primary point of contact for all EUNICoast activities at their institution. They coordinate collaboration between their institution and the Alliance’s various working groups, communicate important developments to the relevant departments within their institution, and ensure that the Alliance’s strategic goals are implemented at the local level. As the interface between their university and the Alliance’s governance, they help ensure that the HOST actively participates in shaping and further developing European university cooperation.
MOBILITY COORDINATOR EUNICOAST
The International Office at HOST provides one of the three coordinators of the EUNICoast Mobility Office, which coordinates mobility activities within the EUNICoast Alliance. The EUNICoast Mobility Coordinators serve as central points of contact for students and staff of the Alliance, provide information about funding opportunities and innovative mobility formats, and support the recognition of academic achievements. In close collaboration with the International Relations Offices of the 12 partner universities, they contribute to the strategic development of European higher education cooperation.

TEAM OF STUDENT ASSISTANTS
The International Office Team gets support of student assistants (SHKs).
They help with day-to-day operations in the incoming and outgoing areas as well as with the organisation and coordination of various events. The SHK team is also the contact person for student concerns and questions in the international area and the Buddy-Programme.
