Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rothlauf

Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Jürgen Rothlauf specializes in the field of intercultural Management and Baltic Management.

He is author of the books ‘Total Quality Management in Theories und Praxis’ (2004) and ‘Interkulturelles Management’ (2007).

In 1977 He Got A Degree In Economics With A Focus On Corporate Governance At The University Of Erlangen-Nuernberg. Subsequently, Additional Studies In Political Science And Sociology.

Between 1980 and 1990, lecturer at the vocational training center in Fuerth/Bavaria. From 1986 to 1990 PhD thesis at the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg and Florence. From 1990 to 1994 Advisor to the Government of Saudi Arabia as Senior Commercial Adviser to the Society for Technical Cooperation in Riyadh. Since 1995 professor at the University of Applied Sciences Stralsund and founder of Baltic Management Studies, conducting more than 10 courses at this faculty. Winter semester 1998/99 – visiting Professor at the Hanoi University of Economics.

The international study course “Baltic Management Studies (BMS)” asks to invite to its 19th international symposium which will take place on the 6th as well as on the 7th of November 2013 at the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund.

Well established speakers from within Germany, plus foreigners will give a lecture concerning the topic “Intercultural Challenges – Often Underestimated Barriers”.
The presentation on Wednesday evening, 6th of November, will be held by Dr. Stoffers,who is going to talk about his experience as supervisor of “Deutsche Bank” in Hanoi. This speech will be given in German whereas on Thursday, 7th of November, all presentations will be held in English.
This brochure will provide a timetable of the 19th International Symposium and gives an overview about the attendant speakers and their subject areas.
All interested people are very welcome to join our Symposium which is free of charge.
