Welcome to HOST - University of Applied Sciences Stralsund

As part of “ARRIVE & ORIENTATE” we welcome first-semester students on the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, the Master's degree programs and our guest students on Monday, 16.03.2026 with introductions to university departments and orientation lectures on campus.

Special information and introductory events to the degree programs will take place in the faculties on this day.

You will receive detailed information on the schedule by email at the end of February.

The program starts on Monday, 16.03.2026 with a welcome from the Rectorate, the General Student Committee and the Student Parliament.
In the morning, we will present an overview of the university with administrative areas, student committees and university associations. New students receive our traditional welcome bag with a variety of information and study materials.
In the afternoon, the campus, the faculties and the university library can be explored on guided tours.
In order to get to know the campus better over the next few days, the student associations and committees plan a colorful leisure program.

International students will get the HOST-Card at a later date and will be informed about it during their personal enrollment.

You will get our traditional welcome bag on Monday, 16.03.26 following the kick-off event "University departments introduce themselves".

If you are not on campus that day, you are welcome to pick up your bag after you arrive. Please write us a message to ankommen@hochschule-stralsund.de or come directly to House 1, Room 240.

Register your place of residence in Stralsund and receive 150 € welcome money as a voucher card (condition: Main residence must remain in Stralsund until the end of the year)
Where? Public Order Office, Registration Department of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund at Schillstraße 5-7
When? During the opening hours of the office
Please bring your passport, the current certificate of enrollment and the certificate of residence.
You will get more information about this during the international welcome week.
