The medical technology sector is regarded as particularly innovative and rapidly growing, not least due to demographic change and the resulting ever-increasing number of older people. The degree programme focuses on the development of medical devices, as well as the planning and maintenance of technical systems in hospitals and care facilities.
Medical technology systems can, for example, effectively support healthcare professionals in their work by enabling more accurate diagnoses, and are also used in the therapeutic treatment of patients.
On the Master’s programme in Medical Technology Systems, you will be taught the fundamentals of medicine and gain a stronger specialisation in the field of systems engineering.
Are you a graduate engineer – for example, in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or physics – or do you already hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject? If so, why not take a closer look at this degree programme!
Health and technology: these are two areas that play an enormous role not just in the future, but right now – both socially and economically. A current example is the field of elderly care, where technical solutions are being used to tackle the shortage of skilled staff, amongst other things. But even when it comes to diagnostics, surgery and nursing, there is huge demand for technological innovations that further improve the quality of outcomes. With the Master’s in ‘Medical Technology Systems’, you will not only gain an understanding of the full range of these systems, but also expand your knowledge to include key business skills such as quality assurance and marketing.
