The mechanical engineering program at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences has a top position in the CHE ranking and prepares graduates for the job market in the areas of research and development, quality assurance, prototypes and series production.

Mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science are among the basic subjects in the first semesters. From the fifth semester onwards, you can choose between elective subjects and thus put together your own study focus. Mobility, energy systems, modern production or health technology: specialize and become an expert in your field. In the modern and subject-specific laboratories, PC pools, CAD laboratories and in the complex laboratory "Alternative Energies" at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, you can consolidate and deepen the knowledge you have acquired.

With a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, you will work for automotive manufacturers, system suppliers, highly specialized high-tech companies or develop concepts for energy saving and recycling. For example, you will be responsible for machine and production concepts that build pacemakers, car parts or CNC machines. As a development engineer, you develop a wide variety of things, such as robots, racing cars or work in medical technology. The starting salary is between 3,800 euros and 4,200 euros gross, depending on the industry.

In the coming semester, we will continue to focus on classroom teaching, taking the protection of health on campus seriously. However, the lecturers in the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering program also offer digital teaching formats in which you can learn online with your fellow students.
