Enforcement procedure

Are you not satisfied with the processing of your request? Or you have not received a response to your feedback within six weeks? In this case, you can submit an application to the Monitoring Centre for Digital Accessibility of Public Bodies in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to have the regulations and measures specified in the accessibility statement reviewed. The monitoring centre is responsible for the complaints and enforcement procedure in accordance with Section 2 (1) BITVO M-V.

At your request, it will check whether further measures are required vis-à-vis the public body. The complaints and enforcement procedure is free of charge for you as the complainant. You do not need legal assistance.


Once the complaint has been received, the following steps will be carried out

  • Check whether actual accessibility violations can be identified
  • The public body is requested to rectify the shortcomings within a certain period of time. In return, it receives suggestions for implementation.
  • If the public body does not comply with the complaint, it must justify this to the monitoring body
  • All parties involved are informed about the status of the procedure
  • Conclusion of the enforcement procedure by means of a summarised final notification to the complainant and explanation of the implementation.
  • Informing the public body and the specialised or legal supervisory authority responsible for it
