Semester fee and re-registration

Would you like to continue your studies at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences in the next semester? Then you must re-register within the specified period. If you pay the semester fee on time, you will be re-registered for the next semester without having to submit an additional application. The booking date at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences is decisive for meeting the deadline.
Re-registration is also necessary if the next semester is planned as a semester abroad, a practical semester or a holiday semester or if only the colloquium is to be held. If you are attending the joint Master's programme in Corporate Tax Law with the HTW Berlin, this means that you must also re-register at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (even though the HTW does not require re-registration if the student has completed all coursework and module examinations and only has the colloquium to attend in the coming semester).

The semester fee is broken down as follows:
Fee for the Studierendenwerk: 93.00 euros (this can be found in the current fee regulations )
AStA / StuPa (student body) fee: 10.00 euros

Delayed re-registration

Decisive, and therefore the same for all students, is the receipt of payment on the re-registration account of Stralsund University of Applied Sciences. If this occurs after the end of the announced payment deadline, the late fee is due without exception. It is irrelevant whether the late receipt of payment was due to the student's own fault or not. Please note that even in today's digital world, there are bank transit times:

https://www.bafin.de/SharedDocs/FAQs/DE/Verbraucher/Bank/Zahlungsverkehr/01_ueberweisungsdauer.html

An additional late fee of 17.00 euros must be paid for late re-registration. The total amount thus increases to 123.00 euros in accordance with the current version of the Statutes on the Levying of Fees, Contributions and Charges at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences(Fee Statutes).

General information

You are not immediately re-registered after paying the semester fee. You will only be re-registered after confirmation of receipt of the money in the HOST account. There may be approx. 5 working days between payment and re-registration.

You will not be informed when you have been re-registered. Please check your status in the online portal under "Study Administration" -> "Fee Account".
Once you have re-enrolled, you can also print current certificates there.

Remember to update the validity on your HOST card at the validation station in House 1, ground floor waiting area or in House 3, canteen lobby.

If the semester fee cannot be credited to the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences account on time and in full, the student will receive a reminder via the e-mail address set up by Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, stating a final deadline, with a new request for payment. Students who fail to make the payment and thus re-enrol by this deadline will be de-registered by Stralsund University of Applied Sciences.

If you have re-registered with payment of the semester fee but do not continue your studies in the semester in question, you have the option of applying for a refund of the semester fee from the Studierendenwerk and the student body, subject to certain conditions.
