The campus day helps you to find the right study program. Here you can meet our professors and all experts of Stralsund University online. The three racing teams of the university will also be there live and many students will answer questions about studying, living and living at the Stralsund campus. We will walk with you around the campus, take a look at the labs, make a detour to the beach and stroll with you through the city of Stralsund.

Do I have to register to participate in Campus Day@home?

No, registration is not required. You and also your whole family or friends can participate.

What are the technical requirements for my end devices to participate?

All you need is a computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.

How can I log in to a live meeting in the video conferencing tool?

Participation via ZOOM is possible with any internet-enabled device.

Install the ZOOM app the first time you click on a ZOOM meeting link. A corresponding dialog box opens. To participate for free, you must register. Please follow the recommendations. You only need a name as well as a logically correct e-mail address.

A test of the microphone as well as if necessary the webcam is recommended beforehand. In order to avoid disturbing noises during the event, please mute the microphone and only turn it on when asked by the moderators for questions.

We ask you to observe the usual netiquette. Respectful interaction with each other is also important to us in the virtual space.

Note: The links to the individual ZOOM meetings will be activated on May 8, 2021.

If you are interested in more than one meeting on our digital campus day, you can join a meeting via the respective link.

Can I switch between live meetings even though they are already running?

Yes, you can also drop in on ongoing meetings. To do so, click on the respective Meetig link. Please make sure that the microphone and video image are switched off so as not to disturb the presentation.

How can I ask my questions during the live meeting?

Questions can be asked at any time via the chat area of ZOOM. Sometimes the moderators will also allow you to speak over the microphone. Depending on the situation and general interest, the answers will be written in the chat or even answered live.

Who will answer my questions about program offerings during campus day?

On campus day you can ask all program questions from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. using our Discord server under Live Chat. Representatives of the student advisory service and the student body will be happy to advise you. Discord opens in your browser after clicking on the link. A download is not necessary.

Are the live meetings recorded and can they be accessed later?

Recording of the meetings is not possible for data protection reasons.

Are presentations on degree programs accessible online after campus day?

Presentations can be made available for review afterward on the Campus Day website at the respective program of study.

In which language do the live meetings take place?

The live meetings are held in German.

How long do the live meetings last?

The respective meeting time for the study programs is usually 60 minutes.
Other meetings accompanying the day are offered with a longer duration.
