Join Us!

If you want to get an insight into our tasks it is possible to support one or more departments for a few weeks before becoming an elected member. Once you’re familiar with the tasks of your chosen department, the students’ parliament needs to confirm your membership.
However, it is also possible to work as a freelancer for our different projects. With this alternative, it is not necessary to take part in the weekly meetings, what makes it a great option for everyone who’s not very familiar with German (yet).

Every HOST student is able to become a member of the AStA.

Becoming a member of the AStA accompanies some duties, like the attendance of AStA-meetings and the work that needs to be done. In return you gain experiences and insider information about the processes at our university, improve your organisation skills and moreover, you have the right to vote for certain topic, which gives you the possibility to make a difference. Working for the AStA is connected to an extension of your Bafög-payments and is a great detail in your CV.

If you are interested in more information, feel free to contact us or visit one of our weekly meetings at building 19, room 115. All official meeting dates are shown on the Homepage.
